Letter Fifty from the Lovely Lady Lena
Herzlich Wilkommen Sister McBride! I got my new compy comp and Tuesday and now I am the one in charge of finding our way around Berlin. Uhhhh…. I need a GPS! Actually, it’s not that bad, although we were an hour late to our first appointment ever. Whoopsie doopsie.
This week was a blur and I feel (for the first time in a long time) speechless. I am lacking words. My creative juices are drained. Skyping with the family was splendid, but now I feel like I have nothing more to say, so please excuse my lack of creativity.
I went on a boat tour of Berlin, ate giant delish spaghetti ice cream, and saw a demonstration for Vegans in Berlin. Most of our investigators and less active members have disappeared off the face of the planet, so we are starting from scratch again. (thank you Schwarzenberg for preparing me!) While helping clean the hoarder’s house, we found Opera Glasses, an old Polaroid Camera, and knitted chickens that you stick over your hard boiled eggs to keep them warm. Let’s just say, my collection of things to bring home is quickly multiplying. (Is hoarding contagious??)
We taught Martin (the cute Latvian) in the middle of a park during a rock concert. That was an interesting spiritual cocktail. It turned out great though, he is so solid! We may not be teaching a lot of people right now, but the ones that we do teach are so solid. Rock solid. (and when I say rock, I mean granite and none of this sedimentary sand stone stuff.)
I apologize for such a short email, but pictures are worth a thousand words so just enjoy these lovely scenic shots!
